This gently sparkling white wine has a creamy texture enhanced by tightly integrated bubbles with balanced bright acidity. This wine immediately presents ripe aromas of yellow apple and pear with hints of tart melon and herbal lemongrass. Upon tasting, this dry wine shows similar flavors with subtle notes of minerals and a vivid fresh finish. Enjoy well-chilled on its own or

100% Coles Valley Vineyard - 35% Clone 69 from Block 2, 35% Clone 96 from Blocks 1 and 2, 26% Clone 76 from Block 1, and 4% Clone 548 from Block 2. Meticulously farmed and carefully handled by Chris Lake and his team, Coles Valley is our vineyard nestled along the Umpqua River. Warm days help the fruit ripen, while the cool marine influence moves upriver in the evening - preserving acidity and freshness. Harvested August 25th-28th, 2021.
The 2021 vintage began with a cool but dry spring, with bud break occurring right on schedule in April. After a fairly typical spring, bloom took place during an extended period in mixed weather in early June, leading to mixed fruit set--we observed strong set in our earliest and latest sites, with some areas of light set and millerandage where rain took place during bloom. In late June, a record-breaking heat wave struck the West Coast, but the vines came through the heat in great shape and ripened evenly throughout the rest of a warm, dry summer. A cooling trend took place in early September, preserving fresh fruit flavors and natural acidity and allowing the harvest season for our vineyards to take place over a period of nearly two months. The fruit in 2021 was remarkable for its delicate flavors, perfect condition, and balanced acid and tannin profile; the young wines are compelling and easy to love.
Hand picked and lightly pressed, immediately upon arrival. A blend of carefully selected Chardonnay clones are pressed and fermented separately. Fermentation temperature was kept low to enhance aromatics, with lees stirring to develop structure. After fermentation, the wine was blended, lightly fined with naturally occurring bentonite clay, chilled for cold stability, filtered, and bottled.
