Frequently Asked Questions
Lifevine is the only wine to earn the Clean Label Project Purity Award — independently tested every vintage for 200+ contaminants at an ISO 17025-accredited lab. Every Lifevine wine is Zero Sugar*, meaning less than 1 gram of residual sugar per 5 fl oz serving, fully fermented and lab-verified. Orders of 6 or more bottles ship at a flat $15 rate, with a short list of states we can't yet ship to directly. Subscriptions save 15% on 6 bottles or 30% on 12, mix-and-match any wines, and can be skipped or cancelled anytime — no commitment. Below, answers to the questions we hear most about our testing, our Zero Sugar standard, shipping, and how the subscription works.
01 · Purity & Testing
What makes Lifevine Purity Tested.
What is the Clean Label Project Purity Award?
It's a results-based certification, not a process claim. The Clean Label Project buys products off the shelf and sends them to an independent, ISO 17025-accredited lab for testing across 200+ contaminants — heavy metals, pesticides including glyphosate, and other residues. Wines that land in the cleanest third of the category dataset earn the Purity Award.
Is Lifevine really the only wine to earn it?
Yes. Lifevine is the only wine to earn the Clean Label Project Purity Award, and has carried it every vintage since launching in 2019.
How often is Lifevine tested?
Every vintage, every batch. Each bottling is purchased through normal customer channels and independently tested by Ellipse Analytics at an ISO 17025-accredited laboratory before it ships. Scan the QR code on any back label to see that vintage's full Certificate of Analysis.
02 · Zero Sugar
What Zero Sugar* actually means.
What does Zero Sugar* mean?
Less than 1 gram of residual sugar per 5 fl oz serving, verified by lab testing on every release. The natural sugars in the grapes are fully fermented into alcohol during winemaking — nothing is added back.
Is Zero Sugar the same as low-calorie?
Not exactly. Zero Sugar* means the grape sugars are fully fermented, not that the wine is low-calorie. Calories and carbohydrates are disclosed in full on every label, so you can decide what fits your glass.
How is Zero Sugar verified?
Lab tested, every vintage. Each Lifevine wine is independently measured for residual sugar per serving, and the result is what's printed on the label — not a marketing claim or a category average.
03 · Shipping
Getting Lifevine to your door.
How much does shipping cost?
Save on shipping — $15 flat rate on 6+ bottles. Below 6 bottles, standard shipping rates apply at checkout.
Which states can't receive shipments?
Due to state direct-to-consumer regulations, we currently cannot ship to Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, or Virginia. State shipping laws are subject to change — see checkout for current eligibility.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are processed and shipped promptly, with tracking sent by email as soon as your order ships. Some states may be placed on a temporary weather hold during extreme temperatures to keep the wine from being damaged in transit.
04 · Subscription
How Subscribe & Save works.
What's the subscription discount?
Subscribe and save 15% on 6 bottles or 30% on 12 bottles — the best price we offer, applied automatically to every recurring order.
Can I skip or cancel anytime?
Yes. There's no commitment — skip an upcoming order or cancel your subscription anytime, with no fees or penalties.
Can I mix wines in one subscription?
Yes. Build your case by mixing any Lifevine wines to reach your 6- or 12-bottle tier — you're not locked into a single varietal.
