NEW WINE! California, Rose
Zero Sugar* Made with Organic Grapes
Alc: 12%
This beautiful organic rosé wine is a must-try for anyone who loves a crisp and refreshing taste. With a modest alcohol content of 12%, it offers the perfect balance between a crisp white and a light red. The rich pink color is more incandescent than the very pale rosés from southern France, making it a stand-out in any wine collection.

Displaying a vivid magenta blush with salmon hues and bright clarity, this rosé offers intense aromas of fresh berries and lush, ripe melon. Upon tasting, deeper notes of tangerine, plump strawberry and hibiscus persist with subtle spicy hints of cardamom and fresh herbs. The dry character of this wine is balanced with the intensely fruity and floral elements, as well as the crisp and refreshing texture. Enjoy well-chilled on it’s own or with your favorite meal.

The grapes are grown in the Terra Alta vineyard located in eastern Lodi in the Clements Hills appellation which is known for its decomposed granite and sandy loam soils washed down from the Sierra Nevada to the east. The slight elevation enjoys a warm climate moderated by breezes off the Sacramento River delta to the west. This vineyard is completely farmed organically and produces grapes of outstanding quality.
2022 was a strange vintage featuring almost every kind of weather pattern. After another dry winter, spring saw a normal budbreak with quite variable weather patterns. A severe April frost reduced crop levels, particularly in Lodi, sometimes as much as 50%. The lighter crop enjoyed a relatively mild and consistent growing season until a triple digit heat wave hit during the Labor Day weekend and forced many growers to pick faster than predicted. Fortunately, we harvested the Syrah grapes for our rose before this heat wave and the quality was very high.
100% Syrah. Grapes were harvested Aug. 29 at night at 22 brix to maintain natural acidity and convert to lower alcohol. Grapes were immediately pressed upon arrival at the winery and only the free run and light press juice was used for rose. The juice was settled cold and
racked away from heavy lees. The juice was cool fermented at 55-60 deg F to full dryness, then chilled to cold stabilize and bottled early in the new year to maintain freshness.
